Herbal Remedies
If pills and medication isn't really you're thing, and you're looking for a more natural way to heal, herbs and essential oils might be a great thing for you to try! You can find a lot of herbs my going to your local grocery store and picking some herbs up over in the produce isle. I stopped by public to grab some of my favorite herbs, and brought them home to show you here.
Basil - Ocium basilicum

Basil originally came from Asia, but it grows as a non-native species in many parts of the world. Basil is a green plant with very large elliptic leaves on it. It grows to be about 30-60cm tall, and the leaves are4-5cm long each. Basil is most often used in the stomach to supress muscle spasms. Its great for your digestive health, and is often used to fight vommiting, expell parasites, and it can even be used as a stimulant! (source)
Garlic - Allium sativum

Garlic is one of my favor flavors! This herb also comes from Asia, but again has been spread throughout the globe. The most widely used part of the garlic plant is the bulb, which is often chopped up for use. The bulb is white, and looks sort of like a small onion. Garlic has lots of benefits for your cardiovascular, resiratory, and uro-genital tract health . By far the strangest use I saw was to combine it with a glass of OJ in the morning to fight arthritis! I don't know how well it works, but I doubt I would want to try that flavor combination! (source)
Thyme - Thymus vulgaris

Thyme is a bushy shrub with very small leaves and flowers that contains the essential oil thymol. It is believed to be from Europe. The essential oil from this herb has many health benefits - it's used from everything from anorexia and digestion problems to boils and bruises to whooping cough! It als has a lot of stimulant effects, and is known for its fragrant lemon like scent.
